Contraindications/Cautions: Clove essential oil is extremely potent, and should always be diluted. Since eugenol (a main component of clove essential oil) is not particularly common, it is possible to discover violent allergies, and thus should be patch tested before use. Clove essential oil should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women.
